TEA and HONEY journey experience tour
We are embarking on a wonderful journey of experience for the two most special flavors of the Eastern Black Sea region, Tea and Honey. We will experience all the processes of Tea and Honey in the Eastern Black Sea valleys with their unique natural beauties.
First of all, we do not call ourselves great teas with seasonal fruits and flowers by collecting tea in the garden with Yuchi, who is the Turkish tea champion and consultant on this subject, who is fully organic farming in the Hemşin Valley. We will have a unique experience with Yuchi’s presentation blending tea, vegetation and Hemşin culture.
We taste great flavors with black, white and various flower teas.
We go on a journey for organic honey in Artvin Kamilet Valley or in Fırtına and Çat valleys in Rize. A fun and informative journey about nature, honey, bees and even bears. On this journey, we also experience the world of bees, their bond with bears, the milking and filtering of honey and tasting the delicious part for us participants. We are making our honey journey with the people of the region who have been dealing with beekeeping for years.
In these experiences, we will be together with the people of the region who live in the valley, dominate the culture and are experts in their fields. A wonderful program awaits you, which is almost like a school and you will experience every process by living it.
In addition to the honey trip, we will visit the most beautiful plateaus, villages and valleys of Rize and Artvin.
We will get to know the Hemshin and Laz cultures. We will walk in the forests, cool off in the streams and rest in the magnificent view of the plateaus…

DAY 1 ) HEMSIN VALLEY TEA JOURNEY
After welcoming you at Rize Airport, we make a wonderful entrance to the Eastern Black Sea Region from Hemşin Valley.
After collecting white tea and cutting green tea in the tea garden where organic farming is practiced in Hemşin valley, we will learn how to brew tea and other processes. We will also brew delicious teas from white, black teas and various flowers. After a wonderful day in Hemşin Valley, we will move to Fırtına Valley to stay overnight.
ACCOMMODATION: CAMLIHEMSIN
DAY : HEMŞİN HIGHLANDS, streams, forests, waterfalls, villages
On our second day, we will set off to the GITO-BADARA or POKUT-SAL plateaus. During this time, we will take photo and recreation breaks in streams, forest villages and chalets in the valleys. According to the weather, we aim to watch a wonderful sunset in the plateau and we will go to our pension in the plateau to stay.

DAY ) ÇAT VALLEY HONEY JOURNEY
After waking up to a beautiful highland morning, we start the day with a nice breakfast. On our second day, we go on a journey to Honey, another important flavor of the region. We will be completing our journey full of information about honey, bees, flowers and even bears with honey milking and tasting. After making the end of the day in a beautiful forest, by the creek or anywhere we think will be good for us when we see it, we go to our hotel to stay.

DAY ARTVIN – KAMİLET VALLEY, MENÇUNA WATERFALL-ŞAVŞAT
On our fourth day, we set off for Artvin. Kamilet Valley, another natural wonder with its endemic vegetation. Our first stop in the valley is the Historical Double Arch Bridge, one of the most beautiful examples of stonework, located at the intersection of Kamilet and Soğucak creeks. After the photo break on the historical bridge, we drive to the place where we will take a walk through the valley for a while. We arrive at the Mençuna Waterfall, which feeds the Kamilet Valley creatures, by taking a walk of mild to moderate difficulty. After cooling off by the waterfall, we enjoy the view with delicious highland tea.
After the Mençuna waterfall, we descend from the waterfall for lunch to taste the most delicious local dishes of the Valley.
Our next route is the quiet city Şavşat… Our journey, which continues with wonderful nature views, ends at Yavuzköy observation terrace, where we can watch the magnificent view of Şavşat. After the observation terrace, we go to the hotel where we will stay, after a little walk if we want to complete our day.
ACCOMMODATION: SAVŞAT
DAY 5 ) SAVŞAT KARAGOL – TIBET CHURCH – PPART VALLEY – CURUPIRA PLATEAU
After our breakfast, we go to Şavşat karagöl, our first stop in the quiet city of Şavşat. After a nice walk around Karagöl, we go to the historical Tibetan church. After our guide informed us about the history of the church, we set off to Macahel, the first and only Biosphere reserve of our country, which is an untouched geography with a wonderful nature journey.
On the Green road, which is our route, villages, streams, forests and plateaus are waiting for us, we walk as much as we want, and we cool off in the streams as much as we want. We are going to Papart and Çurupira highlands, respectively. At the peaks of the Çurupira plateau, which is on our natural border with Georgia, we eat the regional dishes of Georgian cuisine prepared for us, accompanied by a view.
After dinner, we continue our green journey and go to Maral Waterfall in Macahel Valley. After a short nature walk to the waterfall and cooling off at the waterfall depending on the weather, we go to the pension where we will stay.
ACCOMMODATION: MACAHEL
DAY 6 ) MACAHEL – CAMILI VILLAGE – IREMIT MOSQUE
After waking up in the Macahel valley for our last day in the Black Sea, we will visit the oldest mosque of the region. İremit Mosque is a small but different mosque where woodworking and root paints meet.
Our next stop is the village of Camili on the Georgian border and the Georgian border gate in the village.
After setting off for Borçka, we take a break for scenery and oxygen at the Macahel pass. We hope to be able to take as many great pictures as the fogs and clouds allow while enjoying the view.
Our next stop is Borçka Karagöl, we take a nice walk around the lake with its wonderful view, taking lots of photos…
We take the coastal road from our Karagöl tour and go to the Tea Factory, which is the last stop of our trip. In the workshops where we can see the stages of tea, we learn the processes it goes through while reaching our tables and the brewing methods of black sea tea by seeing it on site.
Unfortunately, after our visit to the tea factory, we are on our way to Rize-Artvin Airport to bid you farewell.
ACCOMODATION
In the Eastern Black Sea region, we prefer boutique and comfortable hotels in harmony with nature, which are suitable for the concept of our tours. From time to time, we may prefer the hostels that the local people create with their own means. Although these hotels are good in terms of comfort, they also allow us to experience the culture while visiting the Black Sea.
SINGLE ACCOMMODATION
Individuals participating in our tours alone will be placed in the same room with a fellow person, unless otherwise stated and pay the single accommodation difference.
If the participants prefer to stay alone in the room by paying the single difference, a single accommodation will be provided according to the availability of the facilities and in the order of reservation. In the event that the facility is occupancy and due to late reservation, you will be informed before the tour, and the fee for the day you can’t stay alone will be refunded.
TRANSPORT
Our tours start from Rize airport and usually the start time of the tour is 09.00. For our passengers arriving by road, a common destination is determined by meeting with the participant before they arrive, so as not to disrupt the program.
FLIGHT AND BUS TICKETS
Air and bus ticket prices are not included in our tour. If our tour does not reach a sufficient number for definite departure and is cancelled, all risk and responsibility regarding the tickets purchased by our company on behalf of the consumer and the consumer belongs to the participant and the relevant consumer/consumers have no right to object or indemnify.
If the consumer accepts, our company can transfer the relevant tour registration to another tour that is made on the same dates, has sufficient quota and can use the plane/bus tickets that they have bought.
TOUR REGISTRATION CONDITIONS
A deposit of 40% of the tour cost is required at the time of booking. 30 days before all payments are collected.
TOUR COMBINATION & TOUR CHANGE
Our tours can sometimes be combined with another tour that is definitely active when it does not reach enough numbers. In this case, you agree to the following conditions;
When a tour is offered by the office and you accept it, the program and conditions of the tour you are included in are valid, not the canceled tour.
The destinations on the tour you registered may be the same, different or similar, the difficulty level may be easier, more difficult or the same.
Accommodation service and type of accommodation may be different.
Transportation option, flight times may differ.
Apart from the information you will receive from our office about the tour you will be involved in, it is the responsibility of the participants to evaluate whether this tour is for you and to read the tour program.
TOUR COMBINATION & TOUR CHANGE
CANCELLATION CONDITIONS
Except in cases of force majeure, Northa does not cancel the lap, except that the relevant lap cannot reach sufficient numbers. In case of cancellation by NorthA, only the tour fee will be refunded. Individuals can transfer their right to tour to another person 7 days in advance.
In the cancellations requested by the consumer;
All payment for cancellations up to 30 days before the start of the Tour you have registered,
Tax, insurance, etc. for cancellations made up to 29-15 days before the start of the tour. 50% of the remaining amount is refunded after deducting such costs.
In case of cancellations made less than 15 days before the start of the tour, no refund will be made to the consumer.
POSSIBLE REASONS FOR CHANGE IN THE TOUR PROGRAM
Depending on the condition of the hotels and hostels to be accommodated, the program can also be started in reverse.
Depending on the weather conditions, the order of the destinations in terms of scenery may change.
Instead of the locations that cannot be visited due to weather and road conditions, we go to another location where the conditions are suitable.
INSURANCE
northa Travel takes out compulsory insurance limited to the tour fee against agency bankruptcy and non-performance of its services as required by law. Personal accident and travel insurances are made upon request for a fee.
Tour services cannot be provided by any person or institution other than Tursab member travel agencies. Especially do not respect the pages opened on social media, do not be a partner in crime. ASSOCIATIONS, SCHOOLS, COMPANIES, INDIVIDUALS, GUIDES, CLUBS, FOUNDATIONS CANNOT ORGANIZE TOURS! IT IS AN ILLEGAL CRIME!

In order for this unique experience we will spend in nature to be perfect;
A trekking style shoe, a small backpack, a raincoat or poncho to protect from the rain, shorts for those who want to enter the streams and lakes – swimwear, towel, sunscreen, synthetic fabric trousers, a sweat-shirt to protect you from the cold, a sweatshirt or fleece (if the weather is high). it can get cold suddenly at higher altitudes). Also, if you have any daily medicines you need, please do not forget to take them with you.
Please do not bring too many belongings and large suitcases, because the vehicles we use for tours are minibuses with a maximum of 19 people to reach each location. Excess suitcases pose a problem for luggage capacity.
